The text is illustrated with numerous black and white contemporary illustrations or photographs, some double paged. Dark blue boards with gilt writing on spine. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing Prince Alfred after being shot, black illustration with an orange wash overlay. White writing on front panel and on spine. Account of Prince Alfred's tour to Australia in 1867, where he was feted, shown huge outpourings of loyalty and shot! The corners are very slightly rubbed and bumped and the head and the heel of the spine are in likewise condition. On the ffep., previous owners name. The dustwrapper is rubbed and faded, most particularly noticeable on spine. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [14], 3 - 196, [4] pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
