New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1908. First American Edition. Hardcover. Fine. Octavo, original green cloth titled in gilt on spine and front panel. 307 pp + [4] pp ads at rear. Title page printed in red and black. Heraldic bookplate of George H. Folger on front paste-down, with his signature and date (Feb 3/12) in ink on front free endpaper. Minor bump to top edge of rear board, tiny scratch on front panel but a remarkably nice copy, about fine, and certainly scarce thus.

¶ A work of philosophy by H. G. Wells setting forth his beliefs in four "books" entitled "Metaphysics," "Of Belief," "Of General Conduct," and "Some Personal Things."
