In March of 1735-6, a small group of settlers and soldiers came from England and created a fort and town near the Florida border to help cement England's hold on Georgia as a colony. Margaret Davis Cate's work contributed heavily to the creation of this book, as she found many of the maps and documents the research was based on. Some of the research came from the Special Collection Department of the University of Georgia, and from the archives at Fort Frederica itself. Book Condition is Fine; clean and tight, no crease to cover, appears unread. Interior is clean and bright with no marking or soiling. 51 pages of text, 33 notes, 10 maps, 4 pages of bibilograpy.
