Book Condition: Near Fine; light bumping to head and tail; light exposure discoloration around top and bottom board edges. DJ: Near Fine; light edge bumping; light bumping to head and tail. Gray boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 168 pp 4to. This is a story of the durability and popularity of the DC-3 over its lifetime when its peers were already obsolete and in the boneyard. The DC-3 was an outstanding advance in transport design for civilian aircraft and military in World War II with 10,000 of the C-47s built. It continued is use in Korea and Vietnam as the AC-47. The plane continues to be in use today smaller countries' air fleets, in hostilities and brush wars, and even in drug smuggling, sky diving, and passenger transport. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
