Several cloth nicks, head chipped; internally very good with top corner bumped. Highlights: Beef Production in New England (Sanborn), Our Agricultural Advance (Waugh), Two Years with Birds on a Farm, illustrated (Edward Howe Forbush), Statement of Experiments with Corn (Brooks), Rights and Duties concerning Highways (M.F. Dickinson, Esq.) ["The Hatch Act of 1887 (March 2, 7 U.S.C. 361a...)" authorized states with land grant agricultural colleges (Lincoln's 1862 Morrill Act) to establish research stations. Massachusetts was the only state to retain "Hatch" in report titles (1888-1907) which 'extended' to include reports issued by the Meteorological Observatory "of the Hatch Experiment Station" through 1953]..
