One tear, 1.5", near top of joint has been previously repaired. Brown boards with gilt and red lettering on cover and spine. Binding is tight. PO name on ffep. Pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Red top edge of pages. 482pp. A rare novel that tells first-hand of the changes in Europe as Communism was on the rise and Hitler was coming to power in Germany.
