About This Item

MP3 Audio CD. For Fifteen Years is the second book to The Steel Hammer which is about a needy seamstress, Jean Mortier who is wrongly suspected of manslaughter and the heartbreaking series of mishaps that went along. For Fifteen Years starts in the upshot of the sentence when the penniless wife and daughter of Jean Mortier are brought by the family of a character-reputation witness from the prosecution, Gaston de Monterey. Incidents and ruses become suspicion and tautness between the two families for fifteen years but Jean Mortier?s daughter and Gaston de Monterey?s son became involved with each other. The two agreed that they should remove the doubt from a situation and move off to find the veracity whether Jean Mortier is innocent or not in order for them to get married with the consent of their parents.

Louis Ulbach was a French author. Louis was born in Troyes, now Aube. He was inspired to engage a lifework in writing by Victor Hugo. He came to be a histrionic reviewer of the Temps, and got noticed by a chain of comical correspondences sent to Le Figaro with Ferragus? signature, and issued distinctively in 1868. Ferragus described the narrative Thérèse Raquin "putrid" in an intense invective. He redrafted the Revue de Paris up to its clampdown in 1858, and in 1868 he formed a daily, La Cloche, which was curbed in 1869 for its resentment to the kingdom. Louis was jailed for six months, and while on his acquittance he restarted the daily he had misfortune for, both with the society and the administration, and was once more jailed in 1871-1872. In 1878, he became the librarian of the magazine.

His other outstanding works include: Gloriana, poems; Lettres à Jacques Souffrant, ouvrier; Philosophie maçonnique; Argine Piquet; L'Amour et la mort, short stories; Suzanne Duchemin; Les Roués sans le savoir, short stories; Les Secrets du diable, short stories; La Voix du sang; and all others.
