New York: Random House, 1955. First edition, stated first printing, 1955, with personalized inscription signed by the author on the preliminary blank. Illustrated throughout in both color and black and white. Brown cloth with black leatherette spine, gilt printing, illustrated dustjacket. The book has light rubbing to the extremities, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages, no other names or markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [5.00] and is also very good with a small chip at the spine head that does not interfere with lettering, no other chips or tears. Inscription is to someone named Jack - "This may come in very handy some day to rest a drink on. Sincerely, Quentin". . Inscribed by The Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
