Original publisher's purple boards, slightly faded and slightly discoloured at spine o/w VG in VG d/w which is slightly rubbed and has a repaired (neatly) closed tear at head of spine. Decent copy. Signed presentation from the author to the actor Peter O'Toole. 'For Peter with admiration and warmest wishes- Richard Mason. Rome.13th November. 1962.' From the library of the actor Peter O�Toole (1932 - 2013) with his posthumous bookplate. This small typographic bookplate reads 'From the Library of Peter O�Toole� and was designed by Michael Mitchell of Libanus Press and was authorised by the executors of his estate. Marsh the author of The World of Suzie Wong' was a long term expat resident in Rome.
