About This Item

Routledge & Kegan Pau. TEXT UNMARKED. Very Good hardcover without dustjacket. Published in London by Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1st Edition, 1953, with 431 pages + 8 full-page photographic plates on glossy paper, large octavo (8vo). Not a library book. Heavy, well-made book, bound in sturdy scarlet cloth-covered boards, bright embossed gilt lettering on spine. Book has no major flaws, but does show occasional minor signs of use and age: i.e., there is light wear to the cloth binding along the bottom board edges; just a touch of wear to cloth right at the corner tips; neat, brief previous owner's inscription on blank front page; pages softly, but only lightly darkened from age. No other notable flaws. The book is quite clean and stain-free, square and straight, still firm and tight in its binding, no pages are loose, missing, torn, folded, or wrinkled. Hinges sound and undamaged, corners have not been bumped. All pages are clean and stain-free, all text is sharp and legible, and there is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or any other such markings in the text. Buy with confidence, five-star seller, professional booksellers for 35 years, selling books online since 1995. B38. . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1953.
