Good. small octavo. hardbacks in original cloth xxiv + 379, 391pp., colour frontis.(1), hand-coloured plates, text illusts, With 5 tissue-guarded hand-coloured plates in volume one & 10 tissue-guarded hand-coloured plates in volume two. Volume one lacks title-page & first few prelims; volume two has a nice coloured title-page & 10 hand coloured plates (inc. frontis.). Boards detached but present; chipping & tears to some prelims. & lacks penultimate page in volume 3. Sold as a reading copy & for plates (incomplete?) only
