New York and London: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1931. Hardcover. Very Good. First edition thus, "H-F". 32mo. approximate measurements are 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". xii, 53pp. Full green polished calf, spine stamped in gilt, in six compartments, with raised bands, all edges gilt, green marbled endpapers, inner gilt dentelles (bound by Sangorski & Stucliffe). Spine is quite faded to a light brown, with fading also visible on front and rear covers along edge of spine, extremities of spine and tips of corners are quite rubbed, covers have an uneven, dark discoloration at lower edge (green leather is unevenly darkened due to early stain, about 1 by 3 inches, on front and rear covers only, not affecting endpapers or text), else a very good copy, with the text fresh and clean. Golden Hind Press issue, Sangorski & Sutcliffe binding (as issued) [Yost 45 (stating on colophon page): "This edition of Fatal Interview is set in Lutetia Italic type designed by J. van Krimpen and cast under his supervision at the ancient foundry of J. Enschede en Zonen in Haarlem, Holland. Composition by A.W. Rushmore at The Golden Hind Press, Madison, N.J. Printed on Pannekoek, Dutch, mould-made paper by The Haddon Craftsmen, Camden, N.J. Binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe of London.
