New York: A. T. Goodrich & Co., 1818. Cover label dated 1818, likely first US edition. 32 tangrams containing 355 shapes, pages printed on one side only. Brown paper covered boards with paper spine label and red leather spine, one page of text entitled Stanzas, Addressed to Messrs. Goordich and Co. on the ingenious Chinese Puzzle, which is a smaller than typical page, followed by 32 pages of figures. Top half of front cover separated but still well attached (repairable), vertical creases to rear cover, covers quite worn, label darkened with a bit of edge chipping, endpapers heavily foxed, other pages a bit age-toned but clean, pencil line on verso of preliminary blank, no other markings.. Hard Cover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
