Very good. 8º., 20cm.; 275 pp. An edited expansion of Trowell's 1739 'Farmer's Instructor'. Ellis was sure to advertise his seed drill and manure hopper on top of Trowell's condensed text as well as to offer criticism and elaboration of Trowell's original text. Ellis issued a second edition in 1850. (Fussell II).
