Contemporary calf, tooled in gilt and blind, contrasting black morocco lettering-pieces. Lightly rubbed. Marbled endpapers, offsetting, scattered spotting. A handsomely bound collection of early nineteenth century editions of three books by Suffolk poet Robert Bloomfield (1766-1823), including his first published work, The Farmer's Boy, a pastoral poem which achieved immediate commercial success and critical acclaim, securing his reputation. .
