Hardcover, brown cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Internal binding has one issue and that's at the front board which is completely cracked. Front end page contains some chipping at the top and bottom sides. The second and third end pages contains handwriting: the backside of the first end page has some faint pricing and blue pencil and the second end page contains original owners name with an 1889 date. Remaining binding is good, rear hinge is good, no other handwriting found. Pages are tone due to age and foxing and smudge marks are present.
