Hardcover has red cloth-covered boards with rectangular border design surrounding floral decorations in black and gold on front and spine. Spine has simulated raised panels and gold lettering on black. Top pages edges colored red. NOT ex-library. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends. Covers have moderate edge wear and surface rubbing. Covers very lightly soiled. Endpapers tanned and darkened at edges. Name in pencil on front free endpaper. Small moisture stain on top page edges had caused a the top page edge coloring to bleed into the top margin on a few pages. Pages only slightly tanned. Pages clean and unmarked. 312 pages. No dust jacket. Contains stories by Poe, Twain, Doyle, Dumas, Hugo, Kipling, and Hawthorne, among others. 28 stories in all. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
