Little, Brown, 1905. Cloth. Fair. Slightly smaller, heavier book, dark red cloth with ornate gilt design and gilt title at top front bright, gilt lettering very fine on spine, 222 photo paper pages. Light wear to inner front and back hinges inside covers and between adjacent end papers, tissue-covered b/w photo of man by Histed, dedicated to publisher Edward Bok, dedication page loose at bottom 2" next to spine. Actors included are John Drew, William Gillette, Richard Mansfield, E.H. Sothern and wife Virginia Harned, Francis Wilson, with chapters on two New York City hangouts of actors: The Lambs' Club at W. 36 Street and The Players at No. 16, Gramercy Park, among photos is one of Edwin Booth. Badly worn at bottom front tip, very slight wear to other three as well as spine top and bottom edges, profusely illustrated with photos, light brown stain to top of long pages' edge--pages otherwise not affected. Fair.
