About This Item
London, England: London, UK: Mills and Boon, 1958, 1st Edition, First Printing, 1956. ------------( 1st printing of the First Edition ) ---hardcover, a Very Good example in original brown cloth with black lettering, a tight square copy, a bit of age toning to endpapers, a bit of age toning to the upper edge of the text bock, --- in an attractive Good dustjacket with some short closed tears and small chips, a bit of sunning to the red colour on the spine of the jacket, crease on front flap of jacket, some foxing to the verso of the jacket --- a nice example of the jacket which is now in a hi-quality mylar protector, this copy has been signed and inscribed "Phyl from Ros. -One fellow-suthener to another! March 13th 1957", "suthener" is a Cornwall term so Pilcher has signed this to a Cornish friend/acquaintance BUT MORE INTERESTING is the fact this has been signed and dated by Pilcher early in 1957 even though the publication date is 1958 so a very early copy that likely came directly from Pilcher, a rare title but extremely rare in dustjacket and stupidly rare signed, --- her 8th book as Jane Fraser and her 9th book overall, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo ///SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---. Signed (see description). First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (see description)/Good (see description). Illus. by Uncredited Cover Art. 5w x 7.5h Inches. NOT Price Clipped.
