F Edward Hulme. 5 Volumes Full leather bindings - dark green coloured leather but mos of the colour is worn off the spines and corners . Vol 1 160 pp, vol. 2 160 pp, , vol, 3 160 pp,, vol 4 160 pp, vol 5 167 pp. All now protected with mylar plastic. Approx 40 coloured plates per volume so about 200 coloured plates altogether. Prints alone sell for about $20 each so there is $4000 value already!

This lovely botanical work offers advice to readers on popular and common flowers for gardens. Hibberd was one of the most successful Victorian gardening writers. He is known for being ahead of his time. For instance, he promoted environmental self awareness, conservation and animal welfare well before these were regarded causes. He also promoted amateur gardening.
Frederick Edward Hulme was an amateur botanist and illustrator. His most famous work is Familiar Wild Flowers published in nine volumes between 1878 and 1905.
