Old Shanghai was the pearl of the Orient with wealth, entertainment and a thriving workforce until Mao Tse-tung's armies overtook the city in 1949, ran Chiang Kai-shek out, and ushered in an entirely new way of life than what was know under the British and the Nationalists. A clean very presentable copy with little library use in a Brodart mylar jacket.
