Red coloured cloth covered boards with green coloured embossed decoration to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for front board, with white and red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Quoting from the front fold over panel blurb " ... The story, essentially, is a contest – moral, not physical – between the talented but irresponsible sultan of Namua, and Morland, a government official whose high principles rest on egotism. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Tanning of the text block edges with age toning of the pages. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges with sunning of the back strip. Rubbing of the dustwrapper panels with some browning to the fold over panel's. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
