The subjects include Churchill, Einstein, Hemingway, Kennedy, Khrushchev, Nixon O'Keeffe, Picasso, Steichen, Steinbeck, among others. The printing process is photogravure, with rich velvety blacks and glowing highlights. A triumph of the photographic art.
