Hardback, 1927, popular edition (early edition, first published 1924), published by John Long, Limited, London, 318 pages.
Sextodecimo/16mo, measures around 7 1/2" by 5 1/8" by 1 1/4". No dust jacket. Red cloth binding, black edging to front board, black lettering and edging to spine. A little discolouration to spine. Marking and scuffing, with signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. Small tears at head and tail of spine, slightly bumped and torn corners. Some slackness to binding, cracking to hinges and other strain. Page edges browned, foxed and scuffed. Some foxing to page surfaces, more pronounced towards endpapers. Previous owner inscription and other pen mark to front free endpaper, pen mark or initials to rear pastedown but otherwise no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
