London: B. T. Batsford Ltd, 1952. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 4to, 128pp, with 40 photographs in colour by A. F. Kersting. Dust jacket with some chipping / edge wear. Tipped in photograph on front. Red cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. Beautiful pictures of coast lines, rivers, landscapes, castles, cathedrals, villages and towns, universities and country houses throughout England with accompanying text recalling the history of the landscape, changes etc. Generally very good and clean, a little age toning here and there.
