Early edition of Fables for the Female Sex by Edward Moore in quarter calf binding and marbled boards. A new edition, this work was first published anonymously in 1744. An interesting work intended for Moore's female audience. Contents include 'Hymen and Death', and 'The Goose and the Swans'. Edward Moore was an English dramatist and writer of the eighteenth century. In quarter calf binding and marbled boards. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities resulting in some slight wear in these areas. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot and some slight aging. Very Good
