Boston: T.O.H.P. Burnham, 1864. Hardcover. Good +. Hardcover. 8vo. Bound in what was purple but has now faded to brown cloth covered boards with gilt title to spine. Edgewear, tears to cloth along hinges and bumped corners. Chipping to spine ends. Cracks to exterior hinges and front board is nearly detached though rest of binding remains tight. Minor foxing throughout though text remains bright. Includes frontis and 197 lovely woodcut illustrations. Index, 358 pages. Children's Literature. CHIL/3143.
