Minor corner and spine edge wear, otherwise, in very good condition. The "extraordinary seaman" was Captain Lord Cochrane, tenth Earl of Dondonald; the author of this book was an M.P., and contributor of the Parliamentary Report to the weekly New Statesman. "Captain Cochrane went to sea in the Royal Navy's greatest period. He became one of the finest sea fighters Britain has ever known.
