London: Blackie & Son Limited. Very Good in Good+ dust jacket. 1959. First Edition. Hardcover. 219 p. 22.5 cm. Copyright date only. Sound and square binding in red, cloth-covered boards. Light wear to the corner tips and along the edges. Text block edges a little dusty and are toned. Inside pages also are lightly toned, but are clean and unmarked. No previous ownership marks. Dustwrapper has some corner and edge wear. The spine is a little faded and has a moisture stain on the tail on the reverse side only. A few scoring marks on the rear panel. Top edges are age toned. Not price clipped 17/6. A retelling of the the classic Spanish tale of Don Quixote and his adventures. Full colour dustjacket and endpapers, twelve colour plates, and pen and ink drawings by Edward Ardizzone. .
