The original set was 30 volumes. A limited edition was leather-bound; the rest were bound in burgundy cloth.
This is five of the volumes of that set.
All are plain, with bright gilt printing on the side panels. Each book is 6" x 8".

Very Rare First edition 1928 hardcover by a New Zealand authoress, Jean Devanny. She was a pioneer writer and the author of "The Butcher Shop". The spine of the jacket states this book is "a powerful study of a woman's personality in a remote New Zealand bush town". The text has no writing and is in good condition with only lightly faded pages. The jacket is worn with a few tears and crinkles plus rubbing, but still colorful. It is adhering to the cloth covered boards and there is foxing to boards. Hinges are intact. Good binding.

Original Zane Grey hardcover published January 1917 by Grosset and Dunlap Publishers. Stated D-8. Interior of book is in very good condition for age with no writing, tears, or missing pages. 4 beautiful black and white illustrations, which includes frontispiece! No DJ. Wear to red cloth covered exterior but not interior boards. Black lettering on front cover and spine.

Spiral bound folio (11"x12.5") with pictorial cover and vibrant illustrations by Maxfield Parrish. Minor scuff marks on front, coin sized damp stains in the title word "OF" as well as small corner crease to fore-edge corners. Covers are age toned and from the bottom up 3" are detached from spiral coils but interior is bright and tight. Unpaginated and the text of the play is large print. The spiral bound edition of this drama was published so that an image(s) could easily be detached to hang in the home. This book is an antique and is in fair condition. The binding is loose and cracked on the inside of the front board. Dark green cloth covered boards that have significant wear on the edges, spine and corners. The previous owners signature is written on the inside of the front board. The pages are tanned and yellowed, but are still readable.Also a Life Sketch of Theodore Roosevelt and "memorial tributes by statesmen, ministers, orators and rulers of all countries"; profusely illustrated with photos, drawings and "special pictures of the Family by Express Permission from the Owners"
