INSCRIBED BY VERA CASPARY in year of publication "For Connie: In love and nostalgia and with the hope that it will be enjoyed in the spirit of its writing. Vera - August 3, '60." Vera Caspary (1899 - 1987) was an American writer of novels, screenplays and short stories. She was one of the most prominent women writers and playrights of her generation and also one of the most forward-looking in her terms of the role of women. Several of her books were made into movies including Laura directed by Otto Preminger in 1943. A near fine copy. Clean and tight with crisp text.
