George Newnes, 1948. Hardcover. Acceptable/Acceptable. 1948. Tenth Edition. 295 pages. Home made dust jacket over grey cloth with black and white illustrations throughout. Minor foxing and tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and slight dog-eared pages throughout. Heavy tanning to text block edges and there are cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Boards have fair rubbing, bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket taped down to the pastedowns. Small tears to the edges, corners and spine as well.
