London: Frederick Warne and Co., 1870. "With copious Notes, Additional Recipes, Etc. and upwards of Two Hundred Practical Illustrations Showing Forms of Disease and Treatment." Green cloth on boards with gilt cattle on front of cover; moderate rubbed wear. Spine: rebound with maroon leather; gilt titles and blindstamped bands. Small rubbed wear to boards fore corners. Edges: light age soiling and rubbing. Half-title page with old style script: 'A Gift to my friend Robert Proude on his visit to England 1871 Thomas Belle. ' Frontis: coloured plate: Plate I The Mouth in Epizootic Aphtha, fore-edged with thin wear, ex-insect damage. Title page: head fore corner with oval embossed stamp: Bell Chemist York. Light few only foxings to a few pages, margins mostly. Colour illustration with tissue guards. Just a couple of pages either fore-edge or fore- corners with small wear/ small insect damage. Binding is As New. 651p. First Edition. Hb. VG/None.
