Athens, Georgia: University of Georgia Press, 1949. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 115 pages. Hardcover in green cloth in a yellow dust jacket. There is considerable wear to the jacket, which is discolored and shows several tears along the top edges. The spine is darkened, appearing brown. Inner hinges are secure but pages 75-78 are detached from the binding. The text is toned but clean and sound throughout. INSCRIBED by the author on the front flyleaf, "Inscribed for Mary Long by her friend, Archibald Rutledge," and additionally SIGNED by Rutledge on the half title.
