Several 1 1/2" and smaller tears and 1/2" chips to dust wrapper. 1/4" missing at each end of dust wrapper spine. Dust wrapper is price-clipped. Dust wrapper protected in archival mylar cover. ; 254 pages + xii leaves of plates (including a double page map). Page dimensions: 174 x 110mm. This is one of Hodder and Stoughton's "Black Jacket" series, produced in a smaller format than the original editions. Extracts from press reviews on front flap of dust wrapper.
