About This Item

[El Cerrito, CA], [Ray Nelson], 1985-1999. Hardcover. Very Good. [El Cerrito, CA], [Ray Nelson], 1985-1999. 2" black vinyl commercial folder with three-clasp metal binding; 73 clear plastic sleeves filled to display on both sides with various clippings and ephemera. Very good, with minimal wear to binder, occasional toning and offsetting to contents. An obsessively compiled fan scrapbook containing hundreds of materials pertaining to the Eurythmics, the British pop duo consisting of vocalist Annie Lennox and musician Dave Stewart. Contents consist of various magazine and newspaper clippings (most labeled with the name and date of the publication), four flexi disc 45s containing "Dave and Annie's Christmas Message" for the years 1985-1988, promotional photos, newsletters, etc. Most materials from the mid-to-late 1980s, though the last leaf contains a print-out of a 1999 photograph. From the collection of American cartoonist and science fiction writer Ray Nelson (1931-2022), with his Eurythmics fan club membership card ("Joined Oct. 1985") laid into the front pocket.
