Social and ancient dance is covered, includingsacred dance and others forms like danse astronomique and danses bachiques. Includes a sectionon the development of the choreographic system of Feuillet (1700) (pp. 134-142) with a foldingplate showing Feuillet notation that explains basic steps for dances at Court (Giraudet, p. 544, no. 265).
