About This Item

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1924. A collection of three previously-published essays: "Ideas of Good and Evil," "The Cutting of an Agate," and "Per Amica Silentia Lunae." This i a Very Good copy of a "New and Revised Edition" [stated] that is uncommon. Green cloth binding with titling in black on the spine. Stated "Set up and electrotyped. Published July, 1924." But Wade [142] says the First American Edition was issued on October 14; the question remains how a new and revised edition could be published three month earlier than the edition it recised? Clean text; viii, 538 pages. The textblock is very bright, fresh, and clear. Mild rubbing to margins; spine has faded to a light brown, but titling remains bright. . Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
