Leather. Condition: Very Good Indeed. A handsomely bound collection of Lamb's popular conversational essays. 'A New Edition, Published by Arrangement with the Proprietors, Messrs. Moxon and Co'. Featuring an engraved portrait frontispiece of Charles Lamb. In a decorative maroon calf half binding, with gilt design to the spine, matching marbled sides and endpapers. Presentation label to pastedown, "To James Gray from a friend etc". Externally and internally sound, with only some light shelfwear to the spine and tips of half binding corners. Very Good Indeed.
