About This Item
Caracas: F.I.J.L., 1962. First edition. A small format anti-Franco booklet written by the "Marco Polo of Anarchism," Germinal Gracia, writing under one of his pseudonyms. Gracia presents an objective analysis of Spain under the Franco regime to demonstrate the situation for the student, immigrant, worker, and peasant.
As a teenager Gracia (1919-1991) fought as a member of the C.N.T.-F.A.I. during the Spanish Civil War and continued his anti-Franco activities from Spain & France in the 1940s. He moved to Venezuela in 1948 and became a peripatetic writer issuing dozens of booklets and periodicals under a variety of pseudonyms. He remained a lifelong anarchist.
