London: Chatto & Windus, Piccadilly, 1876. First edition. Uniform dark green cloth, top edge lightly trimmed, others untrimmed, slate brown endpapers, pp. [iii], 105, [1], + 32 page publisher's catalogue dated October 1875 at end. 1500 copies were printed, price 6s. Misprint of "left hand" for "right hand" on p. 84, line 1409 present, which was corrected in the second edition. Corner tips bumped and a little frayed, upper board lightly marked, spine ends a little worn, else a very good copy. Colbeck: Vol. 2, p.801, #41.
