About This Item

Pan. Paperback. 189pp. First edition Pan paperback. Novel for adults but like many of Godden's works has a child for a central character. Filmed as Innocent Sinners in 1958 staring Flora Robson. Film tie in with colour illustrated cover by Peff (Sam Peffer) showing Flora Robson and other cast members as in the film version Innocent Sinners. Photographic still showing June Archer as Lovejoy to the back. Some light reading wear and pages are inevitably tanned and there is a faint shadow of an old price label to the front, but overall a particularly clean, tight copy. Good+, sound copy . Paperback. 1958.
