Stipple engraving, from Lodge's Portraits, Sir Joseph Banks accompanied Captain Cook, on his First Voyage, 1768-1771, and made natural history collections. He made other scientific expeditions to Labrador and Iceland. A striking portrait of this eminent scientist.
