No dust jacket. H. J. Paris was an expert on British Watercolourists. Among several artists discussed are Paul Sandby, Thomas Girtin, John Constable, William Blake, J.M.W. Turner, David Jones, Thomas Gainsborough, Thomas Rolandson, Samuel Palmer, and John Piper. Cloth tight and without annotations; no foxing or distress to illustrations; light uniform age-toning. Bookplate of Hospital Library on front pastedown.
