In unclipped dustwrapper. First edition. Providing the sequel to Canon Storr's well-known study of the subject down to 1860. With D. A. Palin's ink inscription dated 1959 to front pastedown, notes to front free endpapers, and further sheet of notes inserted by book reviewer David A. Palin. In a cloth binding with unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, in excellent condition but with minor wear to extremities and very odd slight marks to boards. Dustwrapper has occasional slight chipping, a closed tear and handling marks. Internally, generally firmly bound. Generally bright and clean throughout. Near Fine
