London: Methuen & Co., 1906. First Edition . Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. xvi, 274pp., (ii), 40pp. (ads). Covers quite worn, with heaviest wear at extremities and some fading to spine, though all gilt lettering on spine and front cover remains clear and mostly bright. Some spotting to back cover. Front hinge cracked, though text block remains mostly square and binding firm. Minor pencil and some soiling to a small number of pages. Overall, a good, sound working copy with many illustrations
