Limited edition, one of 500. 284 illustrations cover borders, head-pieces, tail-pieces, ornaments, initials and modern printer ornaments. Index. The author conjectures whether the early printers employed their own artists to design and engraved blocks, or whether they obtained them from the typefounders, but opting for the first suggestion. Corners and backstrip foot bumped.
