Cambridge: Cambridge at the University Press, 1951. New Edition. Blue Buckram. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Large. Illustrated. Type: Z 352pp. A new and enlarged edition of the original publication,profusely illustrated with 683 b/w photographs throughout. Bound in blue buckram with gilt embossed lettering to the spine and a small vignette to the front board. There is some light fading to the spine and to the adjacent edge of the front board, as well as to the head of the front board. There are a few light soil/stain marks to the spine and fore edges. Slight rubbing to the board corners and a slight bump to the head of the spine. There is a neat blue biro gift inscription to the head of the front end paper. The textblock is clean and tight. A very good copy of this classic work.
