Good- (worn staining to board edges & spine. light dampstaining to lower pg edges w/ instances of tears & worn paper from pgs being separated. front hinge cracked, though upper joint still intact. opening & middle section of textblock cracked; textblock & pgs remain firm & intact). charcoal cloth w/ gilt stamped printing. 268 pgs w/ 441 bw illustrations. Dampstaining does not affect text or illustrations. There is type-written letter from booksellers detailing the dampstaining of the pages; letter is dated 1993. Cover pastdown has price sticker; front endpaper has signature and previous bookstore condition explaination. Remains a sturdy resource for the collector and reseacher.
