E-186: Methuen & Co.. Very Good. 1921. Hardcover. Hardcover. Folio. Methuen & Co, Ltd. , London, 1921. Xxxi, 165 pgs. Illustrated with 34 black and white plates and 2 color plates. First Edition/First Printing. Bound in dark red cloth covers with dulled gilt medallion and titles on front, titles on spine; gilt top edge. Boards have wear present to the extremities of the boards (stain present to the edges of the boards). Royal Artillery bookplate present to the reverse of the front board with a name present to the FFEP and the half-title page. Text is free of marks but some pages are lightly stained. Binding tight and solid. Dame Joan Evans DBE FSA (22 June 1893 14 July 1977) was a British historian of French and English mediaeval art, especially Early Modern and medieval jewellery. Her notable collection was bequeathed to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. E-186; Folio 13" - 23" tall .
